Waldenström type macroglobulinaemia in a Nigerian with rheumatoid arthritis

    Abstract

    Waldenström type macroglobulinaemia has been found in a Nigerian woman with rheumatoid arthritis and cryoglobulinaemia. Twenty-nine per cent. of the total serum proteins were macroglobulins, consisting of 27% 19 S and 2% 29 S. Agglutination tests for rheumatoid arthritis were positive.
