Bone marrow sarcoidosis

JAMA. 1978 Dec 8;240(24):2654-5.

Abstract

Five patients' bone marrow was involved with sarcoidosis, but their chest roentgenograms were normal. The diagnosis was substantiated by typical histological appearance of noncaseating granulomas in bone marrow, careful exclusion of infectious disease, and follow-up study for three to six years. Angiotensin-converting enzyme levels were elevated in all patients at the time of diagnosis.
