2016, European UrologyCitation Excerpt :Of the PINs, high grade PIN (high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia [HGPIN], grade 2–3) is considered to be a precursor for PCA development [2–4]. HGPIN and PCA share many features such as high rates of occurrence in the peripheral zone [5–7]. Clinically, more than 40% of HGPIN patients are diagnosed as PCA within 3 yr of HGPIN diagnosis [3].
