RT Journal Article SR Electronic T1 Factor VIII and antibody levels in plasma fractions prepared by cryoprecipitation JF Journal of Clinical Pathology JO J Clin Pathol FD BMJ Publishing Group Ltd and Association of Clinical Pathologists SP 635 OP 637 DO 10.1136/jcp.21.5.635 VO 21 IS 5 A1 Pollock, Andrew YR 1968 UL http://jcp.bmj.com/content/21/5/635.abstract AB Most of the antibody activity of plasma was found to remain in the supernatant fraction following the preparation of factor-VIII-rich cryoprecipitates. The low level of antibody remaining in these cryoprecipitates indicated that they could safely be used as a source of factor VIII for replacement therapy. Washing the cryoprecipitates farther reduced their antibody titres without materially affecting their factor VIII content.
