In addition to the usual features of myofibrillary degeneration associated with adriamycin, extreme endocardial fibrosis and mural thrombosis affecting the apical segments of both ventricles but particularly the left ventricle was seen at necropsy. The changes resembled classical endomyocardial fibrosis.
